A 55 year Partnership...

Labor and United Way working on making our community a better place to live, work and play.

The United Way of Niagara and organized labor have had over 55 years of working together.  Many good things happen when you work together.  In Niagara, William Jakobi, is the AFL-CIO Labor Liaison.  His position is funded by the United Ways serving Niagara County.  Bill is the liaison between the labor movement and United Way.

Some of the things accomplished by the Labor Partnership include, Union Counselor Classes, Workers in Transition Seminars, Workers on Strike aid, refurbishing of non profit buildings with donated labor and materials, Workers Memorial and the largest single food drive with the National Association of Letter Carriers.

The partnership continues to expand and grow.  If you would like to be a part of the Labor Advisory Committee, please call Bill at 434-1190 or 285-8461.
