There are many ways to give the United Way. Just a few are:

Payroll Deduction through your company campaign.
If your company runs a United way campaign, you have the opportunity to make a pledge through payroll deduction. Payroll deduction is an easy way to make a large impact, by spreading your gift throughout the year. You may direct pledge your pledge in several ways. The choice is yours:

  1. The Community Care - Informed volunteers who understand the critical human service needs of the community ensure your gift is efficiently and effectively distributed.
  2. Specific Agency - Your gift is directed to a United Way member agency, another United Way or any eligible non-profit organization in our state.

A Direct Gift to United Way.
More of us than ever are working for small companies or for ourselves. If you would like to make an individual gift to your community through United Way, you may do so using our Online Pledge Form, or contact us for more information. When you make a direct gift, you may choose to give through The Community Fund, Targeted Care Areas, and/or Specific Agencies.

Planned Giving can help you meet your financial goals while supporting causes you care about.
Would you like to make a contribution that maximizes your tax deduction and does the most good? When you give a gift of securities, you avoid capital gains taxes and brokerage fees. Plus, you can deduct the present value of the securities -- not just what you paid. That means more help for people in need, and a bigger savings for you. Please see the Planned Giving page for details.

In-Kind Donations of items or services.
Want to make a donation of food, clothing, books, furniture or other items? Have a talent you'd like to share? Don't know where to begin looking for an agency that can use your gifts? Please contact us and we'll help you put them to good use!

Leadership Giving recognition programs.
When you make a gift over a certain level, you can choose to participate in one of our Leadership Giving Programs. Please see the Leadership Giving page for more information.
